Helpful Hints

Choosing Destination and Ship
In most cases, you can choose either the Destination or the Ship. It is helpful to enter only one or the other to obtain more choices from the system.

Nights
You can enter the duration of the cruise in the “Nights” field. Entering the number of nights restricts the sailings that display to only sailings of that length. For example if your passengers are looking for a cruise between 7 and 12 days and you enter “12” the system will show only 12-day cruises. If you choose to leave this field blank all sailings that match the destination and date will display.

Multiple Gateways
If you are making a booking for two people coming from different gateways, please call P&O for assistance.

Returning to this screen
If you return to this screen after choosing a cruise, the cruise number will automatically be filled in. If you would like to check a different sailing, you must remove the cruise number and enter the new information.

PROCEDURES

Step 1 – Passenger Club Number

In order to search for the best rates, it is critical to enter the correct Club number for each passenger, if applicable. Be sure to enter the entire number. The system will reject the number if it does not match the spelling of your passenger’s name. If you do not know the passenger’s Club number, you can try to locate it using the search option.

Option #1: Search by Club #
Type the passenger’s Club # and click the “SEARCH” button to verify the record.

Option #2: Search by Phone Number
Type the passenger’s home phone number and click the “SEARCH” button to verify the record.

Search Results
After selecting Club #’s and returning to this screen, the information will be reflected under this heading.

Step 2 – Sailing Search

Home City

• Enter the 3-letter gateway code. To locate the 3-letter gateway code, click on the City Code Lookup link.
• This enables you to locate air pricing and the lowest regional pricing for your clients.

Air

• Select from the drop down menu.
• “YES” = P&O will book the air.
• “NO” = Air is not needed or will be booked independently.

Status
If P&O is booking the air, the Status field will show the type of air required for the itinerary and gateway. In most cases it will be roundtrip. This field is not updatable.

Gateway
The gateway is the airport that the passengers will use to get to and from the cruise. If you entered a home city that P&O doesn’t use, the gateway will default to the closest airport that P&O uses. This information is also used to locate regional promotions.

Date
Type the preferred sailing date for the cruise using the format DDMMMYY. For example, March 20, 2005 would be 20MAR05. This will bring up a range of sailings both before and after this date.

Category Type
Select the desired category type from the drop down menu.

Select the number of passengers per stateroom from the drop down menu.
